South Korean singer-songwriter found unconscious at friend's house
Park Bo-ram, a South Korean singer-songwriter, has died aged 30.
The singer was found unconscious at a friend's house on Thursday (April 11) and was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The cause of her death is not yet known.
Park Bo-ram rose to fame after finishing eighth in the second season of the South Korean singing competition show Superstar K2 in 2010. She went on to release her debut single, "Beautiful", in 2011, and released her first full-length album, "Beautiful Love", in 2013.
Park Bo-ram's death has shocked the South Korean entertainment industry, and tributes have been pouring in from her fans and fellow musicians. Her agency, Xanadu Entertainment, released a statement saying that they were "devastated" by her death and that she would be "deeply missed".
Park Bo-ram's funeral will be held on Monday (April 15) at the Seoul National University Hospital.
