Hertha BSC loan Fabian Reese to Karlsruher SC
Hertha BSC has loaned defender Fabian Reese to Karlsruher SC for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
Reese, 21, has made 11 appearances for Hertha BSC this season, including two starts in the Bundesliga.
He has also played for Germany at the U-20 and U-21 levels.
Karlsruher SC is currently in second place in the 2. Bundesliga and is pushing for promotion to the Bundesliga.
Reese is expected to play a key role for Karlsruher SC in their promotion push.
He is a versatile defender who can play at center back or right back.
Reese is also a good passer and has a strong aerial presence.
Hertha BSC sporting director Fredi Bobic said that the loan move is a good opportunity for Reese to get more playing time.
"Fabian is a talented player with a lot of potential," Bobic said. "He needs to play regularly to continue his development. We believe that Karlsruher SC is the right club for him to do that."
Reese said that he is looking forward to the challenge of playing for Karlsruher SC.
"I am grateful to Hertha BSC for giving me this opportunity," Reese said. "I am excited to join Karlsruher SC and help the team achieve its goals."
Reese will wear the number 24 shirt for Karlsruher SC.
