Porsche owner gets run over in shocking video of suspected Ontario car theft

A Porsche owner was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being run over by his own vehicle during a suspected car theft in Ontario.

The incident was captured on a neighbor's surveillance camera and shows the victim, identified as 35-year-old Jaswinder Brar, trying to stop two men from stealing his Porsche Cayenne from the driveway of his Brampton home on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Brar can be seen confronting the suspects, who are wearing hoodies and masks, before they get into his SUV and attempt to drive away.

Porsche owner in critical condition

Brar grabbed onto the driver's side door in an attempt to stop the theft, but he was dragged along the driveway and then run over by the Porsche as it sped off.

Brar was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, including a broken leg and head injuries.

The suspects fled the scene and remain at large.

Police investigating

Peel Regional Police are investigating the incident and have released the surveillance video in the hopes of identifying the suspects.
